Alexandria Little League adopts for the 2024 season a pitching usage rule that stipulates, ALL coaches must report pitch counts from LLI governed games in the ALL website within 24 hours of the completion of the game. While LLI guidelines on reporting pitch counts do not specifically include travel ball activities, the intent of the guidelines is to promote arm care safety for players. Robust parent and coach communication about pitch counts for games played outside of LLI (e.g., travel ball) is required to ensure appropriate arm rest of players during LLI/ALL governed games. Parents are responsible for reporting non-LLI game pitch counts to their coaches. Coaches are responsible for ensuring LLI-appropriate rest days for players who have thrown pitches in non-LLI games.
